Mansel Winter writes romance and suspense with the quiet authority of someone who has spent a lifetime studying what makes people tick. Born in the Rhondda Valley of South Wales and raised in the shadow of Windsor Castle, he brings to the page a rare blend of vivid place and deep psychological insight.
A Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology, followed by a qualification as a Life Coach, gave Winter the tools to understand human motivation at its most intricate. Nearly four decades in teaching — culminating in the headship he'd always set his sights on — sharpened that understanding further. It also, quietly, gave him everything he needed to write.
Now retired and living amid the open landscapes of Yorkshire, he writes with purpose: stories where suspense and romance intertwine, and where nothing is quite what it first appears. When he isn't writing, you'll find him on the fairway or walking the countryside with his wife — still, always, watching people.
